The dreaded activity most people have to do has entered my world for the first time in 2 months. WORK! That and the most annoying thing on earth, looking for a new place to live has dried up my running program instantly. I have not been able to do any running since Saturday at the Regatta.
As most of the regulars to my blog know, we, that is my wife and I are expecting our first child in a little over 3 months. The house I live in currently is for sale and has been for some time. Obviously to sell a house potential buyers must look at the house, meaning on a weekly basis strangers are walking through checking the place out. I HATE this, people are so rude, they go through cupboards, move furniture etc. I have had enough, I have a feeling that the place will sell either when my wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant or when our child is only a few weeks old. Either way it is not fair and a great inconvenience, so I think in the next few weeks I will be relocating. That way we can relax knowing that we have a stable residence for our first child.
Anyway enough rambling, EXERCISE you all say, well it's been pretty dismal, like I said no running but I have been doing a few weights over the past two days at work. Being a defence member we have Physical training every morning for an hour and because Im still recovering from surgery I am able to do my physio program, which is great. I have been concentrating on all legs, doing sets of extensions, curls, presses and squats. After I have completed these activities I have been getting back into the upper body which has been neglected for months since I have been off work. I have been told a few years back by a mate that I have the bone structure that resembles a wire coat hanger, meaning Im not a massive bloke, so when I say that Im getting back into the upper body I mean pushups, heaves (chin ups) etc, things that I am required to be relatively proficient at for my job.
I am hanging out, tomorrow is track, I have the day off and work has also given everybody friday off aswell, so I have a 4 day weekend to do as much running catch up as possible and sensible of course. Saturday I will not be going to the Regatta, not that I didn't enjoy last week it is that I am running at West End on Sunday, so a short run on Saturday will do. The Run Inn is having their monthly 5K TT so I will do that instead. The plan for Sunday is hopefully the 15K, in saying that if I dont feel great I will drop out after 10K.
That's all for now I will definetely keep the posting up over the next few days. Also cheers to you all that have commented on my blog over the past 2 months, it is great and I hope you will continue to do so. Happy Training :)

Ahh work - a necessary evil! I hate having anymore then 2 weeks off from work because it makes it all that harder to go back.
If you want to move to Toowoomba you can come and rent my house in a week :)
You're not doing the Aus Day Fun Run?
