This weeks run down

Warning - This is a fairly long one

I haven't been able to get on the computer due to some issues with the phone line, but hopefully that is sorted now.

This week has been quite busy with a fair amount of exercise, well for me that is. So I wil begin from the start of the week.

Monday AM - PT for work consisted of a circuit with a whole range of activities for the whole body. The time per station was based on a small run cct where the people would shout out change to indicate it was time to move to the next activity. Good overall workout not really that hard but.

PM - Saw me ride to my new place from work for the first time, it is alot further than the 7k that I was used to riding. The distance is about to 26km now so I get home abit later. I wont be doing that everyday of the week that is for sure. It is really junk miles but something is better than nothing. The journey takes about 45-50mins.

Tuesday - This was a bludge day, I had to travel in the afternoon to Caboolture to do some work so I missed the daily PT session and by the time I got home I really didn't feel like doing much.

Wednesday AM - Work PT session was a team game of touch football cross with American football, it was pretty tiring running around doing some short sprints constantly for 40 mins or so.

PM - Once again I rode home (26K), I got out of work late and arrived home at about 5:10 pm. My wife had to work this night so I had about 10 mins rest enough time for a quick drink and get suited up for the usual Wednesday run group at the Run Inn. 5:20 I was in the car driving to drop the wife off before going to Phils group.

At 6:30 we set off with a rather large group of about 12, the weather was quite humid. The plan was to run about 70 mins but by the half way mark we lost about 1/4 of the group who decided to cut it short. I continued on, but the run was very fragmented with alot of drink stops. I was stuffed by the end and was glad to be finished for the night. We covered about 13K in a little over an hour.

Thursday - Is sports day at work just like school the military have 1/2 a day of work followed by all types off sport. I do Triathlon which I haven't been training for at all. On the program was 1.2k run, 200m swim, 8k bike, 100m swim and a 2k run to finish off. My run leg is the strongest and entered transition first in 4 min 5 sec for the 1200m, thats were it ended I have lost all swimming ability and was just staying afloat, the remainder of the race I was feeling pretty tired and just took it sensible. I finished the event in around 38 mins, I really do need to do some swim work.

PM - Interval session at the Track, as usual the night consisted of a total of 4k. Phil decided to do a session where the distance increased for each interval. I was puffed and it was a last minute decision to run. I decided that this was the last session for me until Sunday. The recovery was between 200 - 400m jog recovery but most of us tried to stretch this out as much as possible. The distances and time were;

400m - 1.17
500m - 1.39
600m - 1.58
700m - 2.20
800m - 2.45
1000m - 3.36 ( I had nothing in this leg)

Friday - Work PT something that I cant get out of, however it was rope climbing not really cardio work or running so from here on nothing until Sunday and while Im writing this I feel alot better much more energy. Tomorrow I have no idea what I will do maybe something around 10k.

Week - 36.1k
Month - 95.9
YTD - 173.9

Sounds like a busy week to me. Glad to see you're able to do all this and you're not getting any problems with your knee.

I know how the moving feels, I still haven't finished mine. Congratulations on the medal for the 10mile run and a great time as well. Hopefully I wont be away from blogging too much longer.

Wow, I'd love to run a 3:36 km when I had nothing left!

Well done on a very mixed week of training. So 26k to work .... hmmmm, sounds runnable.
