Update!

Month - 112k
YTD - 694.5k

Well it has been almost 3 weeks since the last write up, so I will endeavour to make it short.

3 Jun - 3K TT, solo run on the marked running track at work - 10.39

4&5 Jun - 10k about 5min pace

7 Jun - Feeling ill this weekend, it was a battle to remain out there and only managed about 2 hrs and 23 k

9 Jun - 8k XC

11 Jun - 14k from the barracks to the Normanby 5 Ways up Kelvin Grove Rd back down Samford Rd finishing with a loop of the ring road on the barracks.

12 - 13 Jun was Touch Football training and competition, our Team won the comp 8 Nil in both games.

14 Jun - Headed to the City and ran with the group training for the GC 1/2. Slightly quicker pace than what I would have liked but managed 28k @ 5.02 pace.

16 Jun - XC 8k

18 Jun - XC 8k

19 Jun - Legs were feeling abit niggly so I done 17k on the Exercise Bike

Today and Tomorrow - Not sure if I will do anything today, Cass is working day shift so I will have to wait until late afternoon or take Sam out in the pram. I will be doing about 2 hrs or so tomorrow, however I did notice that there is a local 8k fun run in the morning, again if I enter I will only be able to do it with Sam in the pram therefore I haven't decided if it will be worth it or not.

My last few runs my right leg has not been feeling great, I have had a fairly easy week to try and sort it out. I am concerned about the race in two weeks I don't think I have done enough with only 2 runs above 30k, with a few above 25k. Anyway I am not too concerned about my time, I just hope to complete the race, cross it off my things to do list and start concentrating on the shorter events again.

I just received my certificate for the Warwick event, my official time for the 42k event was 3.03.50. I also ended up being in the winning team for the event aswell and received a voucher to get a free pair of Skins (shorts) which I don't have which is fantastic.

Change of subject, I received news that I will be posted at the end of the year to Albury/Wodonga on promotion. I will be instructing the trainee Electrical Technicians before they are unleashed to the world. Although it is a good career opportunity, I would prefer to stay in my current position and remain in Brisbane and forfeit my promotion. I have written a letter to reject the offer but haven't found out the news as yet.

Jump on the back step of the 3:15 bus and hang there for as long as you can!

Ah, 10:39... those were the days.

At least Albury would be handy for Nail Can :)

I'm with Ewen, 3:15 is definitely within reach. Like the old "double your half mara time and add ten minutes" they reckon the Warwick formula is "total of five races plus ten minutes".

Albury :(
