Labouring!

Week - 7.25 k
Month - 7.25 k
YTD - 405.75 k

Yesterday, was the Brisbane Marathon which was a pretty good morning. The ADF Champs went well, some awesome results the mens winner clocked a time of 1.17.59, 5th overall just behind little Claire G and womens winner in 1.23.xx.

I ended up leaving the race just after the first place getter in the marathon crossed in something like 2.43.xx which was great time. Before I left I saw Hannah who was a little disappointed with her run, I had also bumped into Tesso and Ciaran before the race started which was good have a quick chat.

I was then off to the hospital, Cass was still in there and visiting hours started at 10 am. Things were going fine however she was to remain in there for another night. This morning I received a phone call that she was being released, babyless which is good news, still a little early. We have another appointment on Wednesday with the OB, it has been suggested to us to indicate that we would like to book in for a c-section as the on call OB who admitted Cass said this is the best option. It has all been noted down obviously in the med file so Im sure our OB will know all about it before our appt.

This morning was another day off work, Labour Day, it has been sometime since I have worked a full week, there is always so many Public holidays around this time of year. Not that Im complaining. I woke up around 6.30am and decided to do my 7km run as stated by the physio. This time I thought I would take the dogs, well, one at a time. I have looped tracks that start and finish from our house which are almost spot on 2 and 3k.

I got the fat one on the lead first and took him on a 2k jaunt, he actually done quite well, completing it in just over 10 mins, I then dumped him off and got the border collie he is only young and is pretty much useless on the lead. He loves to run so I thought the remaining 5k will be with him.

About 1.5k into it he ws slowing down, the fat hound ran better so I just ran the 3k loop and dropped him off. 2k to go, by myself this time, I was not feeling that great I hadn't run since the 3k at the track which was just a tease. The minimal training is really catching up with me, I have lost alot of fitness and it really showed today. The legs were not hurting just fatigued, labouring you might say, I ended up completing 7.25k in 36.31, which is 5.02/km.

I still have a 5k to go, unsure when I can do this, tomorrow I am working all day and have to stay there all night and then it's off to the physio on Wednesday morning. We will see.

Until next time.......
