The Calm before the Storm!

WEEK - 37K
MONTH - 52K
YTD - 269K

Today I woke up late which was a wonderful feeling. It is my first day off in almost two weeks which may not sound like much to most people but I really need my weekends. After two complete days of rest I knew that today I had to get out there and turn the legs over before the 1/2 tomorrow.

It wasn't until 6pm that I got my act together and went for a jog. 5min/k pace for 5k was the plan and that is exactly what happened. Nice and easy, the legs felt good and the weather was awesome. Not much else to say beside the fact that Im bit unsure on how the run tomorrow will pan out. I dont have a race plan and I have been trying to figure out what I should do.

As stated in my last post, 97 mins is my PB, 95 mins is my goal and my dream is Sub 90 min. I dont know if I should go hard and try and stick on the sub 90 pace which is 4.15/k and just try and hang on or ease up stick on the 95 pace 4.30/k and then try and increase for the latter stages of the run. My other option is forget about it all, just run on how I feel, if Im tired slow down and if Im feeling great then keep the pace up.

Well enough worrying about it, I forgot to mention that I am also running in the Brisbane Half in which the ADF State Teams 1/2 Marathon champs are being run in conjunction with this event. You enter the race competing for the State that you enlisted in, So go the Blues I'll be obviously running for the mighty NSW Team, however I must keep this quiet seeing that I have resided in the Toad territory for the past 6 years :)
