Month - 9k
YTD - 9k
I am starting this up again as I haven't posted anything for almost 6 months. There has been a trend happening for the past 3 years where each year I have pretty much posted half of the previous year. Hopefully this wil not be the case this year as I only posted 14 times in 2009.
I have been on bloglines and have still been keeping track of where those blogs I do follow are up to, however I haven't commented at all but will endeavour to change that this year.
So what has been going on since my last post in August.
I was deployed to Timor-Leste formally known as East Timor for a period of time which hampered my training and obviously any events I could have competed in After I returned I basically did bugger all and prepared to move. I have been transferred from Brisbane to Wodonga in Victoria to teach at the Army Trade college which should be interesting.
I was a little disappointed in moving here as I have lived here before and didn't really enjoy it, however I didn't have a family and was just a single young bloke......things have changed and it is now not all about me anymore :-)
Anyway I have been looking at some events I can do now that I am in the Southern states. During my time of sooking I was planning on returning to Qld to compete in my favourite events such as Warwick. I have since woken up and decided that I need to get out and do some events that I have never done and explore areas that are totally different to Queensland.
So a tentative plan pending what work and family commitments I have will be to travel up to Canberra for a 10k jaunt on the 10th April and then the local Nail Can hill 11 k run here in Albury on the 2nd of May. I am also committing to the biggest run for the first half of the year which is the Great Ocean Road Marathon 45k on May 16.
Again if work permits I will venture up to Sydney for the C2S, hopefully my wife will also come and compete aswell so I guess the GOR isn't the last run I will be focussing on at this stage, but this as usual with my training and racing is very fluid.
Thats about it for my first post for 2010, I hope that everyone has had a great new year and has a awesome year of running and competing achieving some great results along the way.
