Week - 5k
Month - 29k
YTD - 782k
I thought I would take this opportunity to jot down my plans for the next few weeks. Over the past 6 weeks there has been many great events and the next month is no different.
Aug 13 - C2S, goal - Sub 60 mins
Aug 20 - Noosa Half Marathon - Fun event, happy with anything under 93 mins
Aug 27 - BRRC 14k club Champs - Sub 60 mins
Sep 03 - GH 30k - To finish, it will be another distance record if sucessful, I just hope I am not working that weekend, that would suck :(
A last minute cancellation of a day course I was doing yesterday allowed me to regain my weekend. Sweet! This not only meant that I could spend time with Cass's brother and partner who were down for the weekend, I could also go for a run early in the morning and still have the day to do stuff.
7am I set off for 10km around the neighbourhood, however not before I spent looking for my runners to later remember that I left them at work. This wasn't good, I had run in my previous shoes a few days before and got some shin aches, so I decided to give another pair of Asics I have a go. They are in good condition but I had found them too spongy and never really used them again.
Flirting with danger I took off easy being cautious but was pleasantly suprised to find they were ok. Once warm I increases the pace, the Ipod was playing and the weather was perfect, I relaxed and enjoyed the remainder of the run. 10k in 46.05.
This morning I took the hounds out for a jog, one at a time around the 3k loop close to home. A combination of running and walking in fairly warm weather. Although I would have only ran about 4k I was sweating a bit and the dogs were buggered, which was the aim.
I may head out in 1/2 hour or so for another jog, not to sure how far but it will be easy, I cant afford to push it hard without my shoes and orthotics.
Tomorrow at work we have a beep test cct planned, this is pretty taxing on the legs so I will only run until the last person drops out. Going on the fitness of my workplace that shouldn't be too high :)

46:05 for a 10k training run- great stuff.
I think you should rethink some of those goals - go the 90 mins for Noosa Half! And if you can go sub 60 on the hilly C2S course the flat 14k at the BRRC Champs should be a minute or two faster.
Good luck with the beep test. Hope nobody very fit turns up :-)
Beep tests - bane of my existance when I was in the throes of losing big chunks of weight!
You'll have to give us a beep-test report!
